Overview
The Organization settings in Staircase AI by Gainsight allow admins to configure key organizational details, such as profile, domains, currency, and executives to improve the accuracy of AI insights, reporting, and user access. These configurations support tailored experiences, secure communication, and enhanced stakeholder visibility.
Organization Profile
Organization Profile page enhances the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated insights. AI insights reflect the specific characteristics of the organization, making them more relevant and actionable.
The profile includes:
Organization Description: A brief overview of the company’s focus and operations.
Main Products: Key offerings provided by the organization.
Main Competitors: Notable companies operating in the same space.
The profile content is automatically generated by AI and is updated on the first Sunday of each month. Admins can manually edit the profile to enhance accuracy and relevance. If an admin provides input, it takes precedence over the AI-generated profile and is used for further processing. Admins can revert to the AI-generated content at any time through the user interface, which retrieves the most recent version available.
To access Profile:
Navigate to Settings > Configurations > Organization > Profile. The summary generated by AI is displayed.
(Optional) Click Update profile if you want to update the summary. Below are the options available in Update Profile:
Click Update to keep the changes.
(Optional) To revert back to AI generated texts, click Reset to AI Text. The Reset profile to AI Generated Text dialog box appears.
Organization Domain Settings
You can use Organization Domain Settings in Settings > Configuration > Organization > Domains to manage how your organization’s email domains are recognized and tracked in Gainsight.
Add Organization Domains: Define which domains should be treated as part of your organization. Emails from these domains are recognized as internal communications (internal communications are not pulled in and analyzed by Staircase AI).
Business Use Case: An organization ExampleCorp, has employees using email addresses with the domains @examplecorp.com and @examplecorp.co.uk. If you want Staircase AI to treat communications from these domains as internal so that they are excluded from customer interaction analysis, you can add both domains under Organization Domains to ensure internal communications are recognized and not analyzed by Staircase AI.Domain Exclusion List: Exclude specific domains, such as legal advisors, investors, or vendors from communication tracking. Emails and meetings with these contacts are not logged, helping maintain confidentiality and relevance.
Business Use Case: If your organization frequently communicates with legal advisors and investment partners using email domains like @legalpartner.com and @vcfund.io. These conversations are confidential and should not be included in customer intelligence analysis. You can add these domains to the Domain Exclusion List to prevent emails and meetings from being logged or analyzed, thereby maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Trusted Login Domains: Add external partner domains to allow SSO-based access for collaborators. These users must be invited or synced via SSO. Communications from these domains are not tracked as internal activity.
BusinessUse Case: You work with a partner firm whose team members use @partnerco.com email addresses. These users need access to your Staircase environment via SSO, but their communications should not be treated as internal. Add @partnerco.com under Trusted Login Domains to allow SSO-based access for collaboration while ensuring that communications from these domains are still treated as external activity.
Following are the options available in Domains page:
Add domain: Click Add domain to add a new domain.
Remove domain: Click Remove domain to delete a domain.
Save: Once the domain is added/removed click Save to keep the changes.
Note: Staircase AI by Gainsight recommends auditing the domain list quarterly to ensure it remains accurate and up to date.
