Overview
Integrating Google Meet with Staircase AI enables automatic synchronization of your meeting transcripts for powerful analysis and summarization. This integration lets you harness AI-driven insights from your Google Meet calls, turning conversations into actionable summaries, revealing sentiment indicators, and surfacing key discussion points.
Prerequisites
Before configuring the integration, ensure:
You are a Staircase AI admin.
You are a Google Workspace admin (or have access to one).
Configure Google Meet Integration
Follow these steps to configure the Google integration:
As a Google workspace admin, download and install the Staircase AI for Google Meet app from Google Workspace Marketplace.
If you are not a Google Workspace admin, click ask your admin link in the marketplace to share setup instructions with your workspace admin.
Click Admin Install to initiate the installation. The Admin install pop-up window appears.
Read the information and click Continue.
Select the I agree checkbox and click Next.
Staircase AI for Google Meet requests for the following access permissions:
In the Search for groups field, select the specific security group containing your customer-facing teams, and click Finish.
Note
Gainsight does not recommend enabling organization-wide installation. This syncs all inboxes, including executive, legal, and internal teams, into Staircase AI.
Gainsight strongly recommends installing the integration for specific security groups (or organizational units) that contain only customer-facing teams.
Use the same groups as your email and calendar syncs for consistency.
Once installed, log in to Staircase.ai.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and select the Google Meet card.
Click Connect. Once the configuration is complete, a success notification appears.
Disconnect Google Meet Integration
To remove Google Meet connection:
Log in to Staircase.ai.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and select the Google Meet card.
Click Disconnect.
