Make onboarding your customer-facing teams a breeze with a Microsoft domain install for Staircase AI. Eliminating the need for each user to grant permissions individually and/or having to reset permissions each time their password is changed.

Any team member included in the domain install list will have their communications (email/calendar) automatically onboarded into Staircase AI. Should that team member also need access to Staircase AI, an invitation can be sent to them from inside Staircase AI.

The following steps should be completed by someone with both email and Staircase AI admin permissions.

Step 1

Work with your email/IT Admin to create a new email group called 'Staircase' (or a naming convention of your choice). Under this new group, nest your existing groups from client facing teams (customersuccess@, support@, sales@, services@, etc.). Once all client facing team groups are nested into this new group/list, you are ready to set up the domain install.

Step 2

Login to Staircase AI and click the cog symbol in the left-hand bar to open up your Integrations panel. Click on the Microsoft card. Click the “Connect” button.

Step 3

Pick one of the given Microsoft accounts or use another account on the Microsoft login page. Note: the account used must be a global Microsoft admin.

Step 4

Review the permissions required and click the "Accept" button.

Staircase AI is requesting permission to access the emails and meetings of users in the configured group for reading purposes only. This will not result in any changes to the user's data. In addition, the app will be able to view basic information such as the user's name, email, title, and department.

Step 5

After granting the mandatory permissions, you will be redirected back to Staircase AI.

Copy the group name from Step 1 and paste it in the"Limit synchronization to users of this group" text box. Once this step has been completed, Staircase AI will begin to pull in communication and calendar data for all users on the list (for the customers you have in Staircase AI).

Note: may take up to 5 minutes from the time the group is created by your IT admin for it to accept the connection in Staircase.

Please note: We support SSO using Google / Microsoft or Okta. No SAML.

To Uninstall the Microsoft Domain Install

Login to Staircase AI and click the cog symbol in the left-hand bar to open up your Integrations panel. Click on the Microsoft card. Click “disconnect”. This will eliminate the domain install.
